


Here at the A.M.T.C. we believe that the martial arts are for everyone regardless of age, experience or background. We believe that through the martial arts an individual can use the discipline and training to help improve one’s quality of life, acquire healthy values, gain confidence, learn self defense for today’s always changing world and improve one’s overall fitness. The Aiki Muay Thai Camp provides a safe and healthy atmosphere in which one can learn and train. No prior training or experience is required!




one of the first Americans to become certified to teach Muay Thai Boxing in the United States and remains active to date. Having had the opportunity to train and compete nationally as well as internationally, earning a middle weight championship title in 1993. Mr. Sosa was also on the first Texas teams to compete on Fairtex Muay Thai Camp’s debut fight card held in Chandler Arizona in 1994.
His commitment, and life long dedication, have led him to help spread the art of Muay Thai via various seminars and workshops over the years. Mr. Sosa also trains and coaches fighters of all levels for sport and ring competition. His knowledge of Western and Muay Thai Boxing brings a traditional yet intense and fresh approach to the training here at the Aiki Muay Thai Training Camp while maintaining discipline, courtesy and respect.
Khru John Sosa has been a dedicated veteran of the martial arts for over 40 years
and comes from a long lineage of Martial Artists. He began in his youth training
in
the art of Aikido, earning the rank - Sandan, 3rd degree black belt. He is the
youngest son of the late Shihan Bill Sosa, founder of the International Aikido Association.
Mr. Sosa’s path later led him to discover Western Boxing as he became a dedicated
practitioner, competitor, trainer and coach.
In 1988 Mr. Sosa began his training in Muay Thai Boxing under the privileged guidance and instruction of Ajarn Surachai Sirisute, founder of the (T.B.A.) Thai Boxing Association of the United States of America. Mr. Sosa has devoted himself to the art of Muay Thai for over 23 years, and is
